Lithon Holdings is a group of companies specialising in innovative engineering and sustainable development, with our highly skilled team offering clients everything from consultation, conceptualisation, research and development planning to seamless project management and efficient execution from our offices in Namibia, South Africa and Ghana. But more than that, we are a company committed to building with purpose.
Join us as we share our story, and discover why we do what we do…
The journey begins
In 2002, when founder and civil engineer Adriaan Grobler opened our first office in Oshakati, Namibia, it was with a clear purpose in mind: to make a significant and positive impact on the lives of people and communities. This purpose was hugely influenced by the way he approaches his work – first as a visiopreneur (a term he coined to describe someone who not only dreams of a better world, but also takes action to make it a reality) and then as an engineer.
Today, this people-centred purpose enables us to develop innovative solutions for our clients across several areas of expertise, including Agricultural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Transport, Agricultural, Mining and Industrial Engineering, as well as Project Management and Development – all while creating meaningful benefits for society.
Our holistic engineering approach places an emphasis on building infrastructure, creating opportunities, improving quality of life and enabling wealth creation, and all our projects are designed to use resources with the greatest of care, improve energy efficiency, avoid waste, and uplift the communities in which we operate.
And we do it all thanks to the dedicated team that lies at the heart of our business – individuals who, more than simply being technically qualified, share our passion for helping to build a better world.
The story unfolds
Two years after opening its doors under the leadership of Adriaan Grobler, Lithon prepared to reach its next milestone. The rest, as they say, is history…

Our long-term strategy at Lithon is to continue to expand globally as business grows, and as we find the right people to join our company – ones who share our vision of significantly and positively impacting the lives of others. As we face the future and all it holds, we will continue to operate with integrity as our foundation, our people as our strength and excellence as our goal.
