SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – BUILDING PROJECTS

Location - Windhoek

Key Performance Areas

  • Project Planning: Developing comprehensive project plans that outline milestones, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engaging and managing relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocating and managing resources, including personnel, budget, and materials.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Project Execution: Overseeing the implementation of project plans, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Project Monitoring: Continuously tracking project progress against the plan, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
  • Performance Evaluation: Assessing the performance of the project team and the project itself, making adjustments as necessary
  • Project Communication: Ensuring clear and effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders. Competency to manage a team of Architects, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors to ensure the project remains on time and budget.

Key Requirements

  • Relevant recognized tertiary qualification in Project Management related studies (Preferably a B-degree or higher in Construction, Engineering, or Project Management). Certification in project management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience in all aspects of Project Management with at least 3 years Management experience. Understanding of the construction process, industry standards, and requirements, including Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • Specific Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as knowledge of contracts used in construction (e.g., JBCC, FIDIC).
  • Soft Skills: Strong organisational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify, document, and mitigate project risks.
  • Namibian Citizenship
  • Valid Code B/BE Driver's License
